Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Happy Birthday Kathryn!

It was Zoey’s turn this year to put the star on the tree. Always a very exciting moment!

We went to the Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert with Tim and his brother Greg. Suzanne was playing in the orchestra. It was an incredible production.

The stage was breathtaking.

I enjoyed a special date night with my girls.

Lyla and Sparkle returned for another year of holiday cheer.

It was an exceptionally warm and dry December. The kids got dirt bike rides when I got home from a winter ride with my friend Dave.

Kathryn is always so thoughtful and generous, helping everyone around her feel loved.

The old train made a showing this year, and the kids created quite the village for it to run through.

Sometimes you have to take special provisions for especially good neighbor gifts lest they get eaten by someone else.

This is the magical age. Such wonder and delight.

I created these custom smart lamps for the kids, each one trying to embody the personality of each kid.

All the presents are unwrapped.

This was a little different kind of a Christmas break. We had an attack of the flu over the break, which caused us to cancel a bunch of our plans, including our post Christmas visit to Idaho. So, once we were all feeling a little better (finally), we got out of the house and took the kids with us to the Little America for an outing. It wasn’t what we planned, but it made the moments we did get together feel even more meaningful.

The window displays at the Grand America were incredible, and I never imagined such a huge real gingerbread house as this could exist.

We enjoyed the lights on Temple Square and walking around the Conference Center.

I think we wore the kids out!

Back at home, Zoey’s imagination never ceases to amaze me.

We had an epic dance party and karaoke party to bring in the new year.

Happy New Year. And happy no longer being sick and canceling plans. We had Tim and Suzanne over for a New Years Dinner after we had to raincheck Christmas Eve dinner.

Josie, Jimmy, and their kids came to visit us and get some much requested cousin time in.

Then Mom and Dad stayed the night with us on their way to visit the brothers in New Mexico.
