Mount Olympus

Mount Olympus has been bagged.  As you’re heading East on I-215, it’s the peak on the rocky spine on the first mountain.  It’s a really steep hike, ascending almost as much vertical as hiking Timpanogos, but in about 1/2 the distance.  It was a fantastic day, and the views were awesome.

The push from the saddle up to the peak got even steeper, and turned into a scramble in several places.

The Summit.  We’ll bag Loan Peak sometime this summer too.

5.5 hours
7.1 miles
4300 feet of ascent

May Days 2020

It’s hard to believe that May has come and gone already. Happy June 2020. Welcome to Summer.

Ashley wanted me to match her, so she picked out the shirt I wore to work one day.

We were able to head up to Idaho and visit parents.  We had a very nice visit and enjoyed hanging out with them.  The zipline was a big hit.

Eliza put on a wonderful dance performance to the Nutcracker. She is a natural, coming up with moves and combos all on her own.

Aspirations (on my part)

Kindergarten graduation certificate

And a party at our house with one of Ashley’s school friends.

Eliza completed her first year of Preschool. One more to go then she’ll be in Kindergarten next.

We’ve been having a lot of fun hanging out up Hobble Creek Canyon exploring, cooking, and getting smokey. Great times.

I made it out dirt biking with my friend Andy. Hobble Creek is as pretty and fun to ride as ever.

On to summer. Thanks everyone.

April Update

We have really enjoyed the privilege of holding church in our home.  We do certainly look forward to the time when we’ll be able to gather together as a ward though.

General Conference was great!  We really enjoyed it.  If you ever need some kids to help you focus more during conference, please feel free to borrow ours 🙂

Tim had some great screen time!

These girls love love love Holidays. Easter is no exception!

Landon “helping”

Getting the dirt bike all ready for riding.

“Social Distancing”

Saturday project: annihilating our lawn, taking away a full truck of dead grass, replanting a lot of seed, and hoping it grows back nice a lush.

Second Saturday project: fixing up the back shed where the water kills the paint.

Recent project: 3D printer upgraded print chamber.

Picture from a recent drone flight up Hobble Creek canyon.

Video from our Cherry Creek dirt bike ride. I love the new gopro footage and my custom designed, 3D printed, chin bar mount for the gopro.
